Associations
The New Mexico Child Care & Education Association (NMCCEA) invests in New Mexico's children by strengthening licensed early care and education programs through advocacy and professional development.
NMCCEA advocates for licensed child care providers in state legislation across New Mexico. Our advocacy efforts focus on citizen education and representation during legislative sessions. NMCCEA understands that families should have a choice in their child’s early education, and we are committed to making family and provider voices heard. Our lobbyist represents the child care community during legislative sessions and ensure early education programs are considered during decision-making. We also serve as an information hub for all things child care and early education across New Mexico.
Years after NMCCEA’s creation, it became clear that there is a significant lack of professional development opportunities for early education leaders, directors and owners in the state. NMCCEA is committed to enhancing programs and leadership within our community. We know that we must make sure our programs are sustainable and run as effectively as possible to set New Mexico’s children up for educational success.
Our centers need strong leaders to ensure children are receiving the best education possible. NMCCEA hosts multiple events throughout the year to foster professional development, including: 45-hour Equivalency Course, 16-hours of Continuing Education, RFP Writing Courses, National Administrator Credential Training and more.
